The Wrinkle-Relaxers: Botox, Xeomin, Letybo, Dysport

We specialize in providing cosmetic injections such as wrinkle relaxers (aka Botox Cosmetic) and dermal fillers.  Our practitioners are trained to create natural-looking results that enhance your features and give you a youthful, rejuvenated appearance.  We use the latest techniques and Health Canada-approved products to ensure that you get the best result possible.
Injectable neuromodulators, otherwise known as Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, Letybo and Nuceiva (all brand names) is a  treatment that involves injecting a purified form of botulinumtoxin into specific muscles to temporarily relax them. It is commonly used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and fine lines, particularly around the eyes and forehead. Neuromodulators work by blocking the signals from the nerves to the muscles, which causes the muscles to relax and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
The effects of neuromodulators typically last for 2-4 months months, and the treatment can be repeated as necessary to maintain the desired results. Results vary and differ between patients.
In addition to its cosmetic uses, neuromodulators are used for a variety of medical and therapeutic purposes, including the treatment of muscle spasms, chronic migraines, and excessive sweating.

Like any medical treatment, neuromodulators   carrysome risks, including headaches, droopy eyelids, temporary bruising and swelling at the injection site, as well as rare but potentially serious side effects such as difficulty breathing and swallowing.  During your consultation, a detailed list of possible side effects and contraindications will be reviewed with you prior to treatment.

The Volumizers: Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are a popular cosmetic treatment used to enhance facial features and improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hollow areas of the face. At our studio, we offer a variety of dermal fillers that are Health Canada-approved, safe, effective, and non-invasive.

Types of Dermal Fillers

At our studio, we offer a variety of dermal fillers that are tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. Some of the most popular types of dermal fillers we offer include:

  1. Hyaluronic Acid: This dermal filler is can be used to restore volume to the cheeks, lips, around the mouth, and nasolabial folds.

  2. Radiesse: This dermal filler is made from calcium hydroxylapatite and can be used to contour the cheeks, jawline, and hands.  Radiesse is also a biostimulatory product and can help stimulate collagen production in the skin.

  3. Sculptra: This dermal filler is made from poly-L-lactic acid and can be used to stimulate collagen production and add volume to the cheeks, temples, and chin.

The Dermal Filler Procedure:

The dermal filler procedure is quick and non-invasive. During the procedure, a small amount of dermal filler is injected into the targeted area of the face using a fine needle. The procedure typically takes 15-30 minutes to complete, depending on the number of areas being treated.

After the Procedure:

After the dermal filler procedure, patients may experience some mild swelling and bruising at the injection site. However, these side effects typically subside within a few days. Patients can resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure, although we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and direct sunlight for the first 24 hours.  We will make sure to review all the post treatment care instructions with you after your procedure.

Results

The results of dermal fillers are immediate and can last anywhere from 6-18 months, depending on the type of dermal filler used and the area being treated. Over time, the body will naturally absorb the dermal filler, and patients may need to undergo additional treatments to maintain their results.

At our studio, we are committed to helping our clients achieve their desired aesthetic goals safely and effectively. If you are interested in learning more about dermal fillers or would like to schedule a consultation, please contact us today.

The Collagen Boost: Medical Micro-Needling Facial

Micro-needling treatments, also known as collagen induction therapy or skin needling, are cosmetic procedures that involve using a specialized device with tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This technique stimulates the skin's natural healing response, promoting collagen and elastin production, and ultimately improving the skin's texture, tone, and overall appearance.

The micro-needling process begins with the application of a numbing cream to minimize discomfort. The device, often in the form of a roller or a pen-like device, is then gently moved over the targeted area. As the needles penetrate the skin, they create microscopic punctures, which trigger the production of growth factors and stimulate the skin's regenerative processes.

The depth of the needles can be adjusted based on the specific needs of the individual and the targeted area. This flexibility allows for customized treatments that can address a wide range of concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin texture.

One of the key benefits of micro-needling is its ability to enhance the absorption and efficacy of topical products. The microchannels created by the needles allow for better penetration of serums, antioxidants, and other skincare ingredients, maximizing their benefits and improving overall skin health.

After the procedure, the skin may appear slightly red and feel sensitive, similar to a sunburn. However, these effects typically subside within a few hours to a couple of days. Mild swelling and peeling may also occur during the healing process, but they are generally temporary.

Multiple sessions of micro-needling are usually recommended to achieve optimal results. The exact number of treatments will depend on individual goals and the severity of the skin concerns being addressed. Typically, sessions are spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart to allow for proper healing and collagen remodeling.  During your session, we customize your micro needling treatment and pamper your skin based on your skin analysis.

The Antioxidant Refresher: Skin Boosters

Meso skin boosters, also known as mesotherapy or microinjections, are a non-surgical cosmetic treatment aimed at rejuvenating the skin and improving its overall appearance. This innovative technique involves injecting a combination of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid into the superficial layers of the skin.

The main objective of meso skin boosters is to provide hydration, nourishment, and revitalization to the skin. By delivering a customized blend of essential nutrients directly into the target areas, this procedure promotes collagen production, improves elasticity, and enhances the natural regenerative processes of the skin.

During a meso skin booster session, a series of microinjections are administered using a fine needle or a specialized mesotherapy gun. The injections are typically placed at multiple points across the treated area, ensuring an even distribution of the skin-boosting cocktail. The procedure is generally well-tolerated and often described as relatively painless, with minimal downtime and side effects.

The key ingredient in meso skin boosters is hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body known for its exceptional ability to retain moisture. By replenishing the skin's hyaluronic acid levels, mesotherapy helps to restore hydration, plumpness, and a youthful glow. Additionally, the combination of vitamins and antioxidants provides a potent anti-aging effect, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and sun damage.

Meso skin boosters are suitable for individuals seeking to improve the texture, tone, and overall quality of their skin. This treatment can address various concerns, including dullness, dryness, sagging, and uneven pigmentation. It is commonly used on the face, neck, décolletage, and hands.

The effects of meso skin boosters are typically cumulative and gradual, with noticeable improvements occurring over several weeks. To achieve optimal results, a series of treatment sessions spaced a few weeks apart is usually recommended. Maintenance sessions may be advised to prolong the benefits and ensure long-term skin health.

Contact us to determine if meso skin boosters are suitable for your specific needs and to ensure proper administration of the treatment.

Permanent Eyebrows

The Beauty Enhancer: Permanent Makeup Artistry

Permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation, is a technique that involves applying pigments to the skin to enhance certain features or mimic the appearance of makeup. It is a popular option for individuals who want to save time and effort in their daily beauty routine or those who have specific aesthetic concerns.

The process of permanent makeup typically involves the use of a handheld device or a digital tattoo machine with specialized needles to deposit pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. Before the procedure, a consultation is conducted to discuss the desired look, color choices, and to ensure that the client's expectations align with what can be realistically achieved.

Permanent makeup can be applied to various areas of the face, including the eyebrows, eyelids, and lips. Here are some common techniques:

  1. Eyebrows: Permanent eyebrow makeup, also known as microblading or eyebrow tattooing, involves creating hair-like strokes to fill in sparse areas or reshape the eyebrows. This technique can give the appearance of fuller, more defined eyebrows.

  2. Eyeliner: Permanent eyeliner can be applied to the upper and/or lower lash line to define the eyes and create a more dramatic or polished look. It can range from a subtle enhancement to a bolder, more prominent line.

  3. Lips: Permanent lip makeup, often referred to as lip tattooing or lip blush, involves adding color and definition to the lips. It can enhance the shape, correct asymmetry, and create the illusion of fuller lips. Various shades can be chosen to achieve a natural or more vibrant lip color.

The duration of permanent makeup varies from person to person, but it is considered long-lasting. Over time, the pigments may fade due to factors such as sun exposure, natural skin exfoliation, and individual skin characteristics. Touch-up sessions may be needed to maintain the desired look and color intensity.

Overall, permanent makeup can be a convenient and confidence-boosting option for those who desire long-lasting enhancements to their facial features. It can save time and effort in daily makeup application while providing a polished and defined appearance.

Contact us today to schedule a thorough consultation with our in-house expert artist to discuss any concerns or allergies, and understand the procedure, aftercare instructions for proper healing and maintenance.
